Warren Players presents, " The Secret Garden"
Warren Players brings the beloved children’s classic, “The Secret Garden,” to the historic Struthers Library Theatre stage July 22, 23, 24, 30, and 31 at 8:00 P.M. and July 25 at 2:00 P.M. Join us as young Mary Lennox discovers the many secrets held within the grounds and dark hallways of Misselthwaite Manor. “The Secret Garden” is produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. Book and Lyrics by Marsha Norman, Music by Lucy Simon, and based on the novel by Francis Hodgson Burnett. Tickets are $13 adult/ $11 student and senior/ under 5 free. Handicapped seating is available by reservation.  

Saturday, August 7 at 8:00 PM- The NewLanders
This concert is presented by the Struthers Library Theatre.
On Saturday, August 7 at 8:00 PM the Struthers Library Theatre presents, "The NewLanders. The NewLanders have researched and rediscovered songs that capture the American experience. By interweaving traditional instruments, including the Appalachian lap dulcimer, fiddle, and mandolin, with richly layered harmonies and electric guitar and bass, the NewLanders have created a contemporary sound, while honoring and preserving the inspiring stories of the past. The NewLanders new CD "Where the Allegheny Flows" has songs about Pittsburgh steel, the Johnstown Flood, coal mining, our rivers, the Homestead strike, songs of Western Pennsylvania. A NewLanders' performance includes engaging narrations and real-life accounts from the mills, mines, rivers, and fields of their home region, western Pennsylvania, as well as haunting songs and poignant stories that celebrate the enduring spirit that built our nation. Tickets are $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for seniors and students and available at the theatre office or at the door.  

August, 20 @ 7:30 PM- "Through the Looking Glass"
The Warren Festival of the Arts presents, "Through the Looking Glass" a celebration of 30 years of performances!
Rosalind Hupp, Artistic Director of the Warren Festival of the Arts, is proud to present its 30th anniversary show, "Through the Looking Glass" on Friday, August 20, 2010, beginning at 7:30 pm at the Struthers Library Theatre. We will be looking back at some of the memorable performances of such talent as "The Three Bill Hills"; Ed Carlson and Evan Young, pianists; Dave Whipple, Bob Seiden and Leroy Schneck as radio announcers on WROZ, a '40's show; and many more. This year Paula Roney and Matthew Lucia will be our emcees, bringing you multi-talented performers from the Warren area, singing and dancing their way into your hearts. Be sure to mark your calendars and come out to help us celebrate our 30th anniversary! Tickets will be available at the Theatre office.  

Saturday, August 21 @ 1:00 PM- "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs"
The Friends of the Library Theatre presents, " Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs""
Flint Lockwood thinks he's a genius. But none of the things he invented are things that make sense or are useful. However, he has the support of his mother but when she dies, he's left alone with his father who thinks he should give it up. When the community that he lives in, is in an economic crisis because their primary source of income a sardine cannery was shut down, Flint decides to try his latest invention, a machine that can turn water into food. But something goes wrong and the machine ends up in the atmosphere. Later it starts raining food. And so the shifty mayor tries to use this as a way to help their community. But when Flint sense something's wrong with the machine, the mayor convinces him to ignore it. But as Flint predict chaos ensues. This movie is free to the public.
